INTERdisciplina: mujeres migrantes

Abstract

En este número de INTER DISCIPLINA se expone un grupo de trabajos, los cuales delinean un bosquejo del amplio panorama del fenómeno migratorio femenino. En la sección de reseñas de libros se hace referencia a seis obras, dos de las cuales atacan el fenómeno migratorio. Asimismo, se incluye una entrevista con una migrante guatemalteca residente en la actualidad en Sinaloa. El número se completa con seis trabajos en la sección de Comunicaciones Independientes. Mujeres migrantes es el tercer número de la revista INTER DISCIPLINA donde se aborda el tema migratorio en el contexto actual, el primero de estos fue Migraciones (vol. 7, núm. 18, mayo-agosto 2019) y el segundo, Deportaciones (vol. 11, núm. 29, enero-abril 2023); con Mujeres migrantes, se invita a la reflexión sobre la situación de las mujeres migrantes, quienes se enfrentan a la falta de oportunidades en sus comunidades de origen: racismo, discriminación, xenofobia, exclusión social, así como a la violencia de género padecida desde que dejan su país, como durante el tránsito, cruce y cuando llegan al país de destino, donde buscan insertarse en el mercado laboral, obtener ingresos económicos y enviar remesas para apoyar a sus familias. Con estos tres números publicados por la revista INTER DISCIPLINA, Migraciones, Deportaciones, y Mujeres migrantes, se busca sensibilizar y concientizar a la sociedad sobre los procesos migratorios generándose tanto a nivel global como local y, aunque la sociedad necesite de su mano de obra en la mayoría de los casos, no se les respetan sus derechos humanos, siendo víctimas de discriminación, racismo, xenofobia, trata de personas, violencia, deportaciones, y exclusión social, sin la existencia para esta población de una migración regulada y segura.

In this issue of INTER DISCIPLINA, a group of works are presented that outline a broad panorama of the female migration phenomenon. In the book review section, reference is made to six works, two of which attack the migratory phenomenon. Included is an interview with a Guatemalan migrant who currently resides in Sinaloa. The number is completed with six works in the Independent Communications section. Migrant women is the third issue of INTER DISCIPLINE magazine that addresses the migration issue in the current context, the first of these was Migrations (vol. 7, num. 18, May-August 2019) and the second one, Deportations (vol. 11, num. 29, January-April 2023). With Migrant women, we invite reflection on the situation of migrant women, who face the lack of opportunities in their communities of origin, racism, discrimination, xenophobia, social exclusion, as well as the gender violence they suffer since they leave their country, as well as during transit, crossing and when they arrive at the destination country where they seek to enter to the labor market, obtain economic income and send remittances to support their families. With these three issues published by the INTER DISCIPLINE magazine: Migrations, Deportations and Migrant women, the aim is to raise awareness in society about the migratory processes that are generated at both a global and local level, and that although society needs their workforce, in most cases, their human rights are not respected, and they are victims of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, human trafficking, violence, deportations, and social exclusion, without there being regulated and safe migration for this population.
